Odem was conceived by MAFAT — Israel's equivalent of the United States’ DARPA — the driving force behind the country's most groundbreaking military technologies and the strategic nerve center of Israel's defense innovation ecosystem.
OUR MISSION
Odem addresses a critical national need: the persistent shortage of highly skilled technological and managerial talent capable of advancing Israel's strategic edge. By identifying exceptional students as early as ninth grade, Odem builds cohesive leadership through advanced academic training to elite service in the IDF, Mossad, and Shin Bet—ensuring Israel's security apparatus is led by professionals who are technically expert and deeply committed to national defense.

PHASE 1
GRADES 10-12
BOARDING HIGH SCHOOL
Students attend a specialized boarding school in Katzrin in the Golan Heights, earning a full Israeli Bagrut with 5-unit mathematics, physics, and engineering fundamentals, alongside robotics, leadership seminars, and mentoring from the broader Israeli defense and tech ecosystem.
PHASE 2
UNIVERSITY
TECHNION
Graduates advance to an
Electrical Engineering degree at
the Technion, Israel’s Institute
of Technology. Tuition, living
expenses, and full academic
support are provided. Students
continue mentoring and
leadership development,
integrating defense and
industry perspectives
throughout their studies.
PHASE 3
SERVICE
ELITE UNIT PLACEMENT
Graduates serve extended
tours in technologically elite
units within the IDF, Mossad, or
Shin Bet—applying skills in real
security contexts. The aim is
not just service, but leadership:
shaping technological strategy,
driving innovation projects, and
influencing operational
decision-making at the highest
levels.
